Here’s a quick update on anti-social behaviour locally. We know it can be distressing, but we’re working closely with partners to make the area safer and support residents. As your Dedicated Ward Officer for South Ruislip, I would like to provide an update regarding the ongoing anti-social behaviour (ASB) concerns at The Old Dairy, particularly following the car meet on Saturday, 31 October 2026.
I fully appreciate the frustration, disruption and inconvenience these incidents have caused local residents, and I want to reassure the community that these concerns are being taken seriously by the South Ruislip Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT).
Police and Council Response:-
I am aware that concerns have been raised regarding the level of police presence during the recent car meet. I would like to clarify that a significant number of police resources were deployed to address the incident.
This included: • Metropolitan Police Territorial Support Group (TSG): Six police personnel carriers transporting specialist public order officers attended the location to assist in managing and dispersing the gathering.
• Uxbridge Town Centre Team: A team of proactive police officers who focus on tackling crime, anti-social behaviour and emerging community concerns were also present, providing additional support during the incident.
• South Ruislip Safer Neighbourhood Team: Our local officers were actively involved in responding to the incident and gathering evidence to support further enforcement action.
• Hillingdon Council: Were also in attendance, working alongside police colleagues to address the ongoing issues.
The coordinated police response successfully disrupted the gathering and brought the car meet to an end promptly.
I hope this provides reassurance that the concerns raised by residents have not been overlooked and that considerable resources were committed to dealing with the incident.
Evidence Gathering and Enforcement:-
During the incident, officers in attendance recorded a number of vehicle registration numbers associated with the gathering. This information will be shared with Hillingdon Council to assist in identifying those involved and considering enforcement action, including potential prosecution for breaches of the borough’s Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO).
The PSPO includes restrictions on nuisance vehicle gatherings involving activities such as excessive engine revving, racing, dangerous manoeuvres, loud music and behaviour causing harassment, alarm or distress.
Working Towards a Long-Term Solution:-
Our team and Hillingdon Council have jointly requested a meeting with the landowners of The Old Dairy, which is expected to take place within the next week. This meeting will focus on identifying practical measures to deter future car meets and address the wider ASB concerns at the location. We recognise that a lasting solution requires a coordinated approach between the police, council and landowners.
Your Reports and Ongoing Concerns:-
I have received a significant number of emails from residents regarding these incidents and would like to personally thank everyone who has taken the time to share their concerns and provide information. I am currently working through this correspondence and arranging for the relevant ASB reports to be created. Residents who have contacted me directly will receive individual responses and their relevant ASB reference numbers in due course. Your reports and the intelligence you provide are extremely valuable in helping us identify patterns of behaviour, support enforcement opportunities and strengthen our work with partner agencies.
Our Commitment to South Ruislip:-
Community safety remains a priority for the South Ruislip Safer Neighbourhood Team. Whilst not all of our work is immediately visible, please be reassured that we remain actively engaged in addressing these issues and will continue working closely with Hillingdon Council and the landowners to achieve the best possible outcome for residents. I understand that the community wants to see meaningful and lasting improvements, and I remain committed to progressing this work on your behalf.
Thank you for your continued patience, support and the invaluable information you provide.

Across London we’ve put hundreds more officers on the frontlines of community crime-fighting teams, upping visible patrols in the right ‘hot spots’ so we can deter and catch criminals - including with new tech like live facial recognition cameras, drones and e-bikes. Antisocial behaviour can come in many forms and can require support from more organisations than just the police. A full list of what we categorise as antisocial behaviour is available on our website.
